Sveta Fotin (Svetlana Skripnikova)  was born in Rostov-on-Don, in the South of Russia. She worked in high fashion industry as textile and dress designer. She studied folk crafts of North Caucasus, the Scythian, Greek and Iranian culture in art of South Russia.  She also was interested in monumental fresco art.

Looking for original creative style in art, she appealed to easel painting on silk which joined the traditions of Russian romantic modern with ancient East Asian art. Religious, mythological and philosophical symbols revive in Svetlana’s paintings on silk, suede, brocade and leather.

 Her works are full of Love and Femininity.

Since 1996 her personal exhibitions were held in Russia, USA, Germany, Italy and France
